Weekly Wrap Up 6/23/23

This week was certainly interesting, wasn’t it? Did anyone else get totally wrapped up into the Oceangate submersible news? I think this was one of the first times I realized how strange social media can be. Like all the hot takes and jokes and actual information out there…I didn’t turn the news on once but I know everything that happened! I am a sailor so you can find me on top of the ocean any time…but never beneath it.

I started the Couch to 5k program this week and I’m really excited! I used to run in high school and fell out of it when I was dancing so much in college. I was afraid I’d hurt myself but now I want to get back into it and spend more time outside this Summer and even when Winter returns.

I tend to write more about this in my newsletter, but routine has been huge for my mental health lately. Movement, waking up at the same time and (trying) to go to bed at a reasonable hour have helped me feel like I have control over my life again, which I desperately needed.

Having a solid routine has also helped me with making the most of my reading time!

Weekend Plans:

We are going to spend the weekend decluttering! I’ll be putting up a bunch of books for sale on Pango Books and I’m looking forward to unloading my physical TBR. Having a cluttered space has left me with a cluttered mind and I am doing my best to pass on the things I don’t need anymore to better homes. We’re also hoping to get some time outside with a round of golf and maybe even a date night.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
