Hi, I’m Phoebe Wright!

For as long as I can remember, I have loved storytelling. I used to write plays for the neighborhood kids to put on, and when they would get tired, my American Girl Dolls became my players. I would read books that took me to far-off lands and dream of bringing them to life.

In 2018, after a long and fruitless audition season, I was feeling burnt out. I started Read & Wright as a creative outlet to share the stories I love in a new way.

I live in New York with my husband and sweet pup! I read as much as I can between side jobs and auditions. On my site, you’ll find book reviews, pieces of my life, and my podcast called Read It Or List It with Shelf Love. I hope I can help you find your new favorite book!

 

A Few Fun Facts.

I prefer paperbacks to hardcovers.

I read over 150 books a year.

I’m a sucker for a good cover.

I first fell in love with books when I read Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine.

I used to be a diehard dog-earer but now can’t go without a bookmark. 

My top genres are Memoir, YA, Literary Fiction, Romance, Fantasy, and Thriller.
