June Bucket List

It’s here, it’s here! SUMMER! I’m so excited for this season, truly. I plan on making the most of this season! I’ll be traveling but I also want to enjoy our time at home. Plus, we’re kicking off the season with one of my favorite traditions: The Read Into Summer Readathon! You can read up on it here or follow along on Instagram but I always have high hopes for my readathons. This year has been a little slumpy as my schedule has been packed so this season of longer days and relaxation is filling me with plenty of excitement.

  1. Have a Pool Day

One of the reasons I love Summer so that for the last few years, we’ve had access to a pool! It definitely makes the hot weather easier to bear and I love hanging out by the pool with a book. I also use my waterproof Kindle a TON during these days.

  2. Read 4 Books for the #ReadIntoSummer2023 Readathon

Ambitious! But I’ve done it before.

  3. Journal for 30 Days

I have neglected my journal in 2023, thanks to feeling extra overwhelmed with the state of things. I’m going to challenge myself to 30 days of consistent writing if anyone wants to join me!

  4. 30 Day Writing Routine

Honestly, I thrive with a deadline. I am going to do June-O-Wrimo so I can get back on track with my manuscripts!

  5. Go to the Drive In

One of my favorite things about where we moved is the drive in movie theater! It’s a fun Summer tradition and we have to go before it gets too hot.

  6. Get My Favorite Ice Cream

Frozen Custard is the BEST. I’m a simple gal and love a chocolate vanilla twist with rainbow sprinkles.

  7. Go to the Farmer’s Market

We love to take B to the Farmer’s Market on the weekends and find some fresh veggies and new baked goods.

  8. Try a New Grilling Recipe

Nick got a new grill for Christmas and it’s always fun to see what he comes up with for our dinners on the patio!

  9. Go for a New Hike

Another thing we love to do with Beasley!

  10. Plan a Summer Dinner Party

Summer dinner party paired with my Summer Playlist? Just give me a bonfire and I’m my best self.
