March Bucket List
March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb, right? I feel like that saying has become less and less true as the year go on (thanks global warming) but February was so packed, I’m hoping for a little lamb action for the first weeks of March. March is going to be a restorative month for me. January was the free trial, February was packed full of incredible opportunities and leaning into routine. Now, I want to restore and refocus my 2023 goals for this new month.
March is the month of Spring Fever, vacations, longing for the endless days of Summer, dreading another grey day. But it’s also only the third month of the year, so we don’t have to feel like we’ve failed or given up on what we hoped to make of the new year! Every month is a chance to refocus, so that’s what I’m going to do.
Stick to my Morning Routine
January was a little rough for morning routines, but I got back in the saddle halfway through February. I want to keep it up in March!
Stick to my Night Routine
The key to a good morning routine is a solid night routine. I always have a harder time with night routines but I love my morning routine, so I’m going to make sure my evening routine is successful as well.
Finish Version IV.3 of a Writing Project
I’ve been writing away and after this version, I’ll be ready for a big next step!
Read 3 Books from my Physical TBR Stack
My reading has been allllll over the place lately and I hate it. This is when I miss my old life with time on the subway. I love audiobooks, but I really miss reading with my eyes. So, I’ll be prioritizing my TBR stack once again in order to make time for reading.
Plan a Writing Retreat/Trip
I had a mini taste of this writing retreat in February and I loved It. There’s something about getting out of your space and letting creativity/focus take over with a gorgeous view.
Honor My Boundaries
Nick and I have been having this conversation A LOT and I’m glad we’re getting to the point in our lives where we understand we don’t need to say yes to everything. I’ve been repeating to myself, “Thank you for thinking of me, but I’m not available.” And I always feel better! Say “yes” to the things you absolutely need, but that doesn’t need to be every little thing. Rest is productive.
Sunday Movie Nights with Nick
When we were in Lake Placid, we watched The Glass Onion (finally) and loved it! We both love movies so I want to start a tradition of Sunday movie night. We’re going to prioritize new and new to us movies at first but we also love to rewatch our favorites!
Meal Plan/Prep
Oh gosh, did I ever fall off of cooking/meal planning and prepping in January and February. My evenings were jam packed and I got so overwhelmed. But eating out constantly does not leave me feeling good, so I am determined to get back on track this month!
Declutter My Closet for Spring/Summer
I have to go through my Spring/Summer wardrobe because there are definitely things I do not wear anymore taking up space in my closet!
10. Continue a Low Spend Month
No Buy January was a bit of a bust (I should have known it would be) but I got on the horse of a “low spend” month instead in February so I want to continue it in March!
What’s on your bucket list for the month? I’m also planning on baking a Bailey’s Pound Cake for St. Paddy’s Day and catching up with some friends!
