Weekly Wrap Up 1/7/2022

It’s the first Weekly Wrap Up of the new year!

Well, the first week of 2022 kicked my butt. What else is new at this point? I think it’s so important to remember that January is just another month. Leave your Christmas decor up as long as you want, start new things or don’t. It’s just another month and it’s also gray and cold most places so it’s okay if you’re having a hard time too.

We did get a snowstorm this week though that made me really happy. There’s something about the way the world slows down when it snows. I had a snow day from rehearsal too so I really just leaned into the coziness of the day!

I do have two goals I really want to try to implement this month after having a not great week.

  1. Limit My Screen Time in the Morning & Evening—WOW do I need to be better about this. I feel myself becoming less present and more anxious than ever because I cannot stop doom scrolling. I’m having so much trouble getting lost in my books because of it so I want to be pretty strict about my screen time for a couple weeks and see how it improves my mental health.

  2. Write Every Day—I haven’t touched my books since before Christmas. I keep waiting for the “perfect” time and the reality is, there isn’t a perfect time. I miss my characters and story so I need to get back into it.

What I Read:

The Inheritance Games // House of Earth and Blood (I have a feeling this one is going to take a while to read!)

Purchases of the Week:

Nothing! Except N95 masks and at home Covid tests (no known exposure, they’re just so hard to come by that when I see one, I get it to have it on hand!)

Got My Eye On:

Cream Colored Highlighters // Sticky Tabs // Monogrammed Bag // Reading Journal Sticker Pack // Slippers

Listening & Watching:

Weekend Plans:

I have a long weekend of rehearsal but I really need to use this weekend to clear my head. I need a little bit more than self care right now so I’ll be doing some actionable things to make it so I can get through this month!
