My 2021 Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition Review
Last February, I finally decided I needed a real E-Reader. I’d been using the Kindle app on my phone or iPad to read al my E-Books but only because I HAD to. I would use it for library books through the Overdrive App and any digital ARCs I received. But I did not like the experience and rarely reached for it. Mostly the blue bothered me and how quickly it can out the power.
I decided on trying out the Kindle Paperwhite thanks to some trusted friends and ended up absolutely loving it. I really don’t think I can sing its praises enough and it has totally changed my reading. I read more, longer, and don’t use my phone before bed nearly as much, which is my favorite aspect. You can read that review here!
Did I need a new Kindle? Absolutely not. But since I have gotten more than my money’s worth on the first one I purchased, I decided to upgrade to test it out and I am so glad I did!
Kindle Paperwhite Signature Features
Wireless Charging
6.8” Display Screen
Auto Adjusting Front Light
What I Love
I LOVE the larger screen. I didn’t think it would make a huge difference but it totally does
The reaction time is so much faster than my 2018 Model. There used to be a little lag time in between turning it on, finding your stopped page, and turning pages
The extra features really are worth it!
The Exact Model I Got
Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (32 GB) – With a 6.8" display, wireless charging, and auto-adjusting front light – Without Ads
I had the 8G with ads previously and I didn’t think it would make that much of a difference not having them but it totally does.
Accessories
Decal—The one con of the new Paperwhite is that it doesn’t come in the fun colors the 2018 edition does. However, you can get a decal for it! I have the White Decal but there are so many options.
Pop Socket—A must for my Kindles. I got this woodsy one that gives off Adirondack and The SImple Wild vibes.
Happy Go Lovely Sleeve in the Mini Size—I am practically addicted to these. They’re so great to toss in my purse or travel bags! You can use PHOEBE20 for 20% off your order.
TLDR:
The new Kindle Is 1000% worth it and if you’re in need of an upgrade, it has my stamp of approval. When I purchased, there was a deal to get 4 free months of Kindle Unlimited with it. There’s also an option to sell back your previous Kindle and get 20% toward a new one. I didn’t do that because I still like having both of them. I’m going to use one at home and keep one in my bag so I’m never with a book! Extra? Hell yeah. But I am who I am!
In sum, I LOVE the new Kindle. Seriously love it!
