Weekly Wrap Up 7-30-21

Just one of these weeks I’d really like to sit down to write my Weekly Wrap Up and not have to bore you with how I’m feeling. This was a tough week with what we learned about the continuation of the Pandemic (please get vaccinated if you are able!), Nick working late, a needy puppy, and just all around exhaustion…I cried a lot. No shame and I won’t lie to you. I cried A LOT and didn’t stay on top of the things I wanted to. And that’s okay! The past 18 months have been HARD on all of us. I know you all know that, you are smart people. Sometimes I just have to say it for myself.

A couple highlights from the week: A sushi dinner and Beasley’s second week of Puppy School!

I’m dreaming of a vacation by the lake so most of my energy this week went to scrolling AirBnB and VRBO. If you have any leads, I’d LOVE recommendations for a place in the Adirondacks!

#NoBuyJuly Update:

I did a round up of what I learned in the last 30 (almost 31) days of no spending. Very excited about my progress and to continue these good habits moving forward.

Recipe of the Week:

I FINALLY was able to get my hands on the Trader Joe’s Heart of Palm “pasta.” I used that with some fresh basil and tomatoes from our garden to make a garlic white sauce with shrimp. So good!

Listening & Watching:

I tuned in for the Olympics this week and watched some of my favorite comfort movies. To All the Boys I Loved Before is a favorite and now that I’ve seen it so many times, it feels like it just flies. But Peter K and Lara Jean always make me feel better. Someone on Instagram said it’s like a “gravity blanket for your soul” and I have to agree.

Weekend Plans:

Weekends have become very precious to me. We don’t have any firm plans other than introducing Beasley to Nick’s cousin. I’ll be doing a lot of reading and hopefully a lot of writing to make up for some of the time I missed this past week.

How was your week?
