Weekly Wrap Up 4-26-20

I have officially lost track of the weeks. We finished our 6th week of quarantine and will be beginning our 7th with no end in sight.

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their kindness on Wednesday’s post. It was scary and vulnerable to put that one up, not to mention incredibly sad and hard. But like it says up top, this is a little bit a life and a lot of book reviews. When I started my blog, it was to have the safety of books as my shield. But more and more it became about the love and support I’ve received. I chose to share wedding planning with all of you and this experience has really highlighted the importance of sharing the good and the bad. So thank you, for all the love and support.

Besides that, it was a great week. I laughed a lot, cooked a lot, made some brownies, and read some great books. Can’t ask for anything more! I also may have gone down the online shopping rabbit hole…again…but they are for important things!

Sadly, I was supposed to be headed to my bachelorette party in Charleston today. I was really looking forward to it since it’s been a long time since I’ve gotten to see my friends. Nick’s bachelor party was supposed to be this weekend too. While we’re missing our friends and the weekends away we were excited for, we’re going to make the best of it. Friday we are going to take the afternoon and evening to be together and have some fun with long walks, games, and movies!

Here’s what I was up to this week:

Books Read: A Tender Thing, A Court of Frost and Starlight

Currently Reading: The Heir Affair (out July 7!!!!), A Study in Charlotte. Thank you Grand Central Publishing for my advanced copy of The Heir Affair!

Podcast: We interviewed Lyssa Kay Adams and Stephanie Wrobel on Read It Or List It this week! It was SO FUN to do and I’m excited to continue these author interviews! Lyssa is the author of The Bromance Bookclub and Stephanie wrote Darling Rose Gold!

Next Up: Serpent and Dove, which I’m MEGA excited about.

Purchases: This lounge jumpsuit, this bathing suit, this dress, and this dress for whenever we do get to have our wedding. It’s a perfect rehearsal dinner dress! I got it in white, which is now sold out. But it’s still available in this gorgeous blue and cream!

Weekend Plans: long walks, reading, and starting Outlander (the show)

Here’s to making the best of a weekend in quarantine and fingers crossed I’ll be lucky enough to see my friends soon!
