Online Reads & Resources

If you don’t have the Kindle app or Scribd, now is the time to try them out! I tried Kindle Unlimited free for 3 months and its great (though not a perfect service, so I’ll be ending my trial at the end of this month!) but if you can get one of those subscriptions, I think you should try it out!

Scribd is currently offering 30 days free of their service and they have SO MUCH available. I downloaded the second and third books in the The Summer I Turned Pretty series by Jenny Han.

And I know I’m a broken record, but now is the perfect time to make the switch from Audible to Libro.fm if you haven’t yet! Support an independent bookstore during this time of utter uncertainty.

I plan on rereading a lot of my favorite books in the coming weeks since they bring so much comfort to these uncertain times. A few I’ll be rereading are: The Gallagher Girls Series by Ally Carter, Avalon High by Meg Cabot, and My True Love Gave to Me by every YA author from the early 2000’s. Because CHRISTMAS. Sometimes you just can’t go wrong with a some comfort reads, right?

A new read that I’m excited for (and is for research) is A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavalerro. I love Scribd because they have EVERYTHING. Ebooks, audiobooks, music, magazines…it’s such a good service! I primarily used it for music and scripts, but now I’m so grateful that they are helping their communities by offering a free 30 days of their service. I can’t wait to binge all these old favorites and finish new ones as well. They have plenty of Christina Lauren if you’re a romance fan and seriously, SO MANY books and audiobooks. It’s overwhelming but also so great. So many choices!

I never thought I could read ebooks but it’s actually not as difficult as I thought. Certainly not the same as a hardcopy, but very convenient! I still struggle with fiction on audio, but maybe this time will help me get better at it.

I mentioned a ton of my favorites from years past, but you can find tons of new releases as well! Some of my favorites:
