Weekly Wrap Up 7-19-19
Alright, I’m slowly getting my life back together. This week has been so.hot. in the city and it feels like actual torture. The heat is supposed to be the worst today and going through this weekend so…should be fun! I have a couple auditions but other than that, it will be poolside reading for me!
This week was a pretty good one, considering I felt like I was in a fog for most of it! I finished two audiobooks and one physical book but I still have a lot I want to get through this month! I can’t believe it’s the 19th of July! We have a lot of fun trips left for the summer, so it definitely does not feel like it’s over, but I really wish January flew as fast as any of the summer months.
Here’s what I read this week:
I’ll Be Gone in the Dark—I finally feel cool now that’s read this. I listened to it on Audiobook (thank you Overdrive!) and as terrifying as it is, it’s so compelling and Michelle McNamara is amazing. It breaks my heart she’s no longer with us. Even if you’re not a true crime fan, I definitely recommend it.
Three Women by Lisa Taddeo—I’m going to do a full review on this book, because it’s definitely necessary. But I will definitely say that this book is one giant trigger warning and to read it with care. Put it down if it’s too much for you. I am definitely glad that I read it and finished it, but I think the marketing team needs to treat it a little more delicately. I was a little confused by what I thought this book was able based on the marketing and what it actually meant to me.
The Greatest Love Story Ever Told by Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman—Amazing. Hilarious. Listen to the audiobook and prepare to giggle uncontrollably wherever you’re listening. It has been on my list for a while and now that I’ve been loving audiobooks, i requested it and AHHH it’s just so great. I love their relationship and they’re history and it’s a fantastic book.
All in all, a great week for reading! And this weekend i am determined to get my blog’s life in order. Balance is key people, and I am craving figuring it out! Have a great weekend and stay cool if you’re experiencing this heat wave as well!
