Wedding Wednesday: July Update
It’s been awhile since I talked wedding on here! Honestly, July has just kind of gotten away from me. I’m not proud of it, but it’s reality. We just got back late Sunday from my brother’s wedding in Maine and now, pressure is ON to get ourselves together for our wedding!
If you haven’t planned a huge event, there is so much that goes into it. I kind of always feel like I should be doing something for it, but it’s also pretty tough with my career. Auditions, rehearsals, and shows take up a lot of my time and brain space as well. It’s important to me because we have so many out of town guests, so I want everyone to know how much we appreciate them celebrating with us!
Here’s what we still need to accomplish:
Finalize guest list
Note which guests are missing addresses
Order our save the dates (I have a very clear idea of what I want and I can’t wait to share!)
Address save the dates
Mail STDs
Pick out the groomsmen’s tuxes
Order specialty items (more on this coming!)
Choose music (first dance, parent dances, ceremony music)
Begin looking into gifts for the bridal party
Schedule cake tasting
Venue tasting
Plan rehearsal dinner (decor, tasting)
Plan welcome party (decor, tasting)
Create photo shot list for photographer
Create video shot list for videographer
Plan day after brunch (decor, menu)
Pick out invitations
Mail invitations
Shop for shower, bachelorette dresses
Ceremony details (programs, readings)
Not too bad of a list, and most of it doesn’t need to be accomplished until early next year. Right now it’s all about Save the Dates and taking advantage of any sales/deals I can find now. I hope I didn’t overwhelm you with this list…but I hope you enjoyed the little preview of our engagement photos! Our photographer is SO amazing and I’m literally so obsessed with her work. If you live in the New England area, I can’t recommend her enough.
