Holiday Reads I'm Adding to my List
If you know anything about me, it’s that I love Christmas.
I wanted to round up some great wintery, cozy, Christmas reads that will be perfect to dive into over Thanksgiving weekend. If you saw my guest post on Prep in Your Step last week, I shared a bunch there! You might be thinking, how could there possibly be more?
Well…there are. Here are ten books I haven’t read yet but am hoping to read by (before) Christmas this year!
Letters from Father Christmas by J.R.R. Tolkein—Letters he wrote his children every Christmas from the perspective of Santa or a talking polar bear.
Mr. Dickens and his Carol—I’ve seen this one at Barnes & Noble for years and need to commit to reading it this December!
The Deal of a Lifetime by Fredrik Backman—I love Backman and this novella is less than 100 pages. Sounds like the perfect book to snuggle up with on Christmas Eve!
Starry Night by Debbie McComber—Debbie McComber can be hit or miss for me on the cheese factor, but this one has me intrigued and I think I may have to add it to my 25 Days of Christmas books!
HIddensee by Gregory McGuire—From the author of the Wicked novel, this is a behind the scenes tale of The Nutcracker!
Christmas in London by Anita Hughes—If there are two things I love more than anything, it’s Christmas and London. Also, it’s perfect for fans of the Great British Bake off!
Comfort and Joy by Kristin Hannah—I LOVED The Great Alone but I know Hannah’s older stuff can be hit or miss. However, this one sounds cozy and relatively short, so I may try to read it this year!
Christmas on the Island—This one sounds timely and festive!
A Child’s Christmas in Wales—I’ve been in the play version of this book and it’s so sweet!
A Royal Holiday—I’ve never read any Jasmine Guillory and I think if I can find this one from the library, I’ll read it before Christmas!
I love Christmas books. I think they’re such a great way to get into the festive mood and fill your heart with cheer!
