Wedding Wednesday: October Planning Update
Somehow, we are only 7 1/2 months away from our wedding. How? HOW?! I ask you! I know it’s going to fly by and I’m trying so hard not to stress too much about it all. I have loved planning, but now that it’s getting closer and closer each day, I’m starting to get nervous about forgetting things. These monthly check ins have been so helpful to get my mind wrapped around it all and make sure I am on schedule.
Here’s what we have so far:
Venue (all inclusive for bar, catering, place for the boys to get ready)
Church
Transportation
My Dress
Bridesmaids dresses
Groomsmen’s Tuxes
Save the Dates sent
Met with Priest marrying us
Band
Bachelorette party dates confirmed
Hair/Make Up team
Night of accommodations
Florist
Hotel block for guests
Tasting booked for next month
Honeymoon destination chosen
Welcome Party menu tasting
Brunch coordinator
Need to Do:
Shoes for me
Day of jewelry
Order Invitations
Send invitations
Choose ceremony music
Assign ceremony parts (readings, etc)
Pick out and order favors
Choose reception music (first dance, parent dances)
Choose and order bridal party/parent gifts
Order thank you note stationary
Order day of paper goods (programs, menus, etc)
Cake tasting (most likely doing this in January!)
Brunch menu
Book flights for honeymoon
Hopefully there isn’t anything I’m forgetting! Although I’m sure there is, because I’ve felt pretty on top of things. I’ve never planned an event of this size before but I’m really enjoying it. It’s been nice to have so much time to not feel too stressed about it all.
