Witchy Romance Books to Read for Halloween
It’s October and while I am not a Halloween girl, I do love to be festive during every season! And one thing I love to read during the month of October are witchy rom coms! I don’t like to read anything too scary. I am a cozy, Hocus Pocus/Halloweentown type of girl not a Halloween/Blair Witch kind of girl. The same goes for my reading! I love a festive rom com that is cute, fun, and a little spooky. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites, some that are series, and even a backlist fantasy read.
Hot Hex Boyfriend by Carly Bloom
A modern rom com about a woman who is predicted to break her family’s curse and restore the Meriweather magic, but is unsure if the handsome neighbor she’s gotten to know is helping or hexing her her.
Thistle Grove Series by Lana Harper
This is a small town witchy series that starts with Payback’s a Witch and is followed by From Bad to Cursed, Back in a Spell, In Charm’s Way, and the newest, Rise and Divine.
Bride by Ali Hazelwood
Now this isn’t a about a witch, but it is a vampire and werewolf and I found the audiobook to be highly enjoyable. It is also a book that is high on the spice scale, if that’s what you’re in the mood for!
The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna
I think this might be my favorites of the cozy, sweet, small town witchy rom coms! It’s not Halloween related at all but it is a perfectly sweet and cozy magical read.
The Graves Glen Series by Erin Sterling
Another series that I have enjoyed! It feels a bit like a magical version of Stars Hollow, in my bumble opinion. The first book is The Ex Hex following by The Kiss Curse and The Wedding Witch.
Spookily Yours by Jennifer Chipman
This book does involve a witch but she’s fallen for a demon. It’s an open door, spicy Halloween rom com and even better, can be read for free on Kindle Unlimited if you subscribe to the service.
Rewitched by Lucy Jane Wood
A burned out witch received a summons from her coven on her thirtieth birthday to test her worthiness as a witch. The only problem is that her burnout has left her feeling less than magical. She needs all the help she can get, even from the infurtating coven watcher assigned to her.
Serpent and Dove by Shelbey Mahurin
Another start to a series, but this time a romantasy series. We have a witch and a witch hunter set in 1700s France. It’s action packed and the forbidden love story makes if a page turner.
Not the Witch You Wed by April Asher
A paranormal rom com between a magic-less witch and a wolf-shifter! A bit of a more modern rom com and it has the fake dating trope which is ELITE in my book!
