Weekly Wrap Up 8/18/23

Friday greetings from California! I’m in the LA/Anaheim area for Steamy Lit Con, which celebrates diversity in Romance and I can’t wait to recap the whole trip once I get home. This week, I felt like I finally got back into my groove of balancing all the things I need to balance. I love my creative life but when the burn out happens, it really happens. I feel like I’m finally able to come up for air.

Part of what’s bringing me clarity is that we have vacation coming up! I usually only take the last two weeks of the year off surrounding Christmas, my birthday and New Years, but that is not sustainable. I’m going to be MUCH better about it in the future but it’s hard when you work for yourself!

I cannot wait for our lake vacation and to get some trips on the calendar for next year too. Every time I travel, I get the travel bug even more so I know once I get home from LA I am going to want to book something else.

I’m on the West Coast all weekend and will be sharing plenty of updates! I have no idea what to expect and I’m trying to ride the wave of excitement rather than nervousness. This has been a big year of travel for us and I can’t wait to continue it into 2024. Have a great weekend and happy reading!
