May Bucket List

When everything feels wonky, I make a list. This month, I think I’m going to print out my monthly bucket list so that I can focus on it! April flew by and May is going to be busy with a Gala, shows, and a wedding, so I don’t want things to go by too fast. I spent most of April feeling extremely run down and tired since I was traveling so much and while it was amazing, I am definitely a homebody and someone who thrives on routine. I’m hoping that with the consistent warm weather that May will (hopefully 🤞 ) bring with it, I’ll have a bit more motivation to stick to my routines in order to thrive.

  1. Read a Book in a Day

Something I try to do every month, but it definitely depends on the book and the time! I have a weekend this month I can devote to it and I’m looking forward to it.

  2. Share my Summer Reading Guide

I’ve been doing a Summer Reading Guide since 2020 and each year I hope to make it better and better. I’m hoping 2023 is the best one yet!

  3. Prioritize My Morning Routine

I started out April pretty strong with my morning routine, but sadly all the travel and late nights eventually threw things off. My evening routine is pretty solid, I just need to be up earlier because that is when I feel like the best version of myself.

  4. Start Our Summer Garden

Nick and I got into gardening during the pandemic and putting together what we want to grow each season is thrilling. We have a little space on our patio and we’re planning on doing some veggies and wildflowers.

  5. Make My Summer TBR

There are so many books I want to read this Summer and I NEED to stick to my plan of reading them. I have so many books on my unread shelves and it’s starting to make me sad and overwhelmed. I want to read them!

  6. Unhaul Unread Books

And building on the above goal…I need to say goodbye to some unread books. My office and shelves are overflowing with books that should go to a better home and I know I’ll feel less overwhelmed.

  7. Redesign My Office

I can’t wait to put up the wallpaper I chose and let things feel fresh again!

  8. Find a Tennis Court + Go to the Driving Range

I loved doing Shakespeare in the Park last Summer, but it took up most of my evenings and weekends for four months. Since I’m not acting this Summer, i’m excited to get back into my outdoor Summer sports! I learned to golf in 2021 and love it, plus my best friend and I plan on playing tennis a couple evenings a week!

  9. Limit Screen Time

I spent A LOT of time on my phone in April and didn’t make me feel my best. I want to limit my scrolling, especially in the mornings and evenings, so that I sleep better and feel more creative.

  10. Get Back to the Gym

I’ve been struggling to get back into regular workouts since gyms reopened after the pandemic. I really REALLY need to schedule this time because I always feel better. I love my walking pad but sometimes I just want to do a 30 minute cardio sweat in the gym to get a break from work.

What are you focusing on in May? I can’t believe we’re almost halfway through the year!
