Favorites, Lately

Every now and then, when I’m sitting down to put together a blog post, I just like to pretend I’m chatting with friends. I figured we could pretend that today is a sleepover and chat about our favorite things! These are the things I’m loving right now and constantly reach for, plus the media I’m consuming and tech pieces I’m loving.

I’ve also included my Wanderlust and some of my favorite follows on Instagram lately! Let me know your favorites :)

Skincare: Sun Bum Cool Down

Summer is upon us and so is spending time in the sun! In addition to my SPF, I loveeee this cool down lotion for after spending time in the sun. It smells good, it feels good, and I’m glad to replenish moisture after being in salt water/lake water or chlorine.

Make Up: Anastasia Soft Glam Palette

This palette has been a favorite for a while, but it needs repeating. I love the formula so much and all the colors are very wearable! It’s great for every day but I mainly use it for when I want to feel a little elevated.

Hair: Sun Bum Heat Protectant

I have been using heat on my hair a lot more than I used to so I’m a huge fan of protecting it. This one smells like you just got off the beach and doesn’t weigh my hair down. Plus, I love how sustainable the company is.

Show: Younger. The Bold Type

What I can say, I have a type. I finished Younger recently and it was so nice to be invested in a show again. I never finished The Bold Type so I’m excited to start again and watch it all the way through.

Book: The Neighbor Favor, Meet Me at the Lake, Happy Place

Some recent favorites that have taken up space in my brain. The Read & Wright Summer Reading Guide is going to be G O O D this year, my friends.

Podcast: Bad on Paper

I think most bookish people are already fans of Bad on Paper, but I really have enjoyed becoming a regular listener. I used to listen when the title grabbed my eye, but lately, Becca and Olivia have been killing it. I love their hooks and look forward to the highs and lows as well as weekly obsessions and reading updates! I’m very excited for Becca’s book to come out this Fall.

Clothing Item: Packable Straw Hat

As I said earlier, I am all about sun protection! I love that this is meant to be tucked into a bag so I don’t have to wear it on a plane if I don’t want to. Plus a hack I love is that you can add any kind of ribbon if you want to match it to a dress, cover up or bathing suit.

Shoes: Summertime Sandals

I finally bought a pair of “real” ones after wearing through two pairs of inexpensive knock offs. They are totally worth it though and I will be wearing them all spring and summer for dog walks and trips to the pool!

Bag: CalPak Luka Duffle

I ordered this for all the travel I’m doing this year and it’s a game changer. I have always struggled to find the perfect “personal item” and this exceeded my expectations. Totally worth the price!

Coffee Order: Iced Salted Caramel Oat Milk Latte

I’ve been loving make these at home for myself and also picking one up when I go out! My favorite local spot is OverWinter coffee. You can get the syrup at Target usually or order online!

Tech: Kindle Paperwhite, Hatch Alarm Clock

If you’re on the fence about an e-reader, I really can’t recommend the Paperwhite enough. It’s lightweight, perfect for reading on the beach, and I don’t miss the feel of a regular book at all. I truly think I read faster with it!

We got the Hatch Alarm Clock because I was desperate for something to help me with my morning and evening routines. I am not a believer and love this thing!

Wanderlust:

Lake house vacation. OH MY GOSH am I craving a quiet, warm, breezy vacation at a lake house. I need quiet mornings full of bird song and rustling leaves, water lapping at the shore, feeling the sun soak into my skin. I’ve got my eye on a couple spots for the Summer and it will be happening.

Follows:

My feed has been full of new faces lately and I’m loving it. I got to meet some of these lovely people at an event in NYC last week and I also have been lusting after their creativity as well! Check them out!
