Spring Fever: Best Books to Read in Spring

I never used to be someone who loved Spring. It always felt stressful and frustrating, because the weather would be fickle and I was ready for the consistent warm Summer days. But since the pandemic, I have a new appreciation for Spring. I remember the first sunny, warm day after NYC shutdown in 2020. Nick and I went for a walk in our apartment’s courtyard and we didn’t need to wear our jackets. There’s something about those first days where the sun feels truly warm and the green grace starts to poke through the last bits of frost.

Now, I love Spring. I look forward to it in an entirely new way. Spring is the return of energy after the dark Winter, when the sun stays out longer. It’s full of newness and anticipation for the relaxing Summer days. I wanted to curate a book list that captures those feelings of rebirth. Spring is baseball, school musicals, vacations, and new beginnings.
