10 Backlist Titles I Want to Read in 2023
In 2022, I bought a lot of books and didn’t read nearly enough of them. While I love supporting authors, there are other ways I can do this without spending so recklessly. Part of that means reading what I already own! I am not putting myself on a book buying ban because that’s not realistic. But I am going to really prioritize the books that I own. I was so excited to read them when I bought them and it’s silly not to.
Starting with these ten! I want to read these ten books. Once I read these ten, i’ll make another stack of ten. (Although some of these are on my Kindle, so it will be a metaphorical stack for some). I’m excited to read them! See any you love and can’t wait for my thoughts on?
Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson
I bought this during last year’s 50% off sale at B&N 🤫 oops. But they’re such quick, entertaining reads I know I can read it and enjoy it ASAP!
Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid
I haven’t read any of TJR’s older books so I’m excited to finally dive in! I’m craving a good cry book.
Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko
I have not been in the headspace for Fantasy in a long time but I need to know what all the hype is about. It’s one I for sure want to read!
Kit McBride Gets a Wife by Amy Barry
I am obsessed with Yellowstone and this book seems like it will give those vibes. Plus, it’s a romance. Always read more romance.
Hana Khan Carries On by Uzma Jalaluddin
I’ve heard nothing but AMAZING things about this book. It’s a bit of a You’ve Got Mail retelling and is low steam, if that’s something you prefer in your romance.
Getaway Girl by Tessa Bailey
If I don’t read this book, I’m pretty sure Ashley will disown me as a friend.
The Addicted Series by Becca and Krista Ricci
A TikTok made me buy it that I haven’t gotten to! In fairness, I purchased the series on my Kindle so it’s not staring at me day after day…which I need my books to do.
Pax by Sara Pennypacker
I bought this book on our mini moon! It came highly recommended by one of my favorite booksellers and I think it will be cozy and heartwarming for Winter.
Bloodmarked by Tracey Deonn
Legendborn is one of my favorite books of all time and I saved the sequel for after the holiday madness. I am pumped to get back into this world and will be tandem reading it with audio!
The Most Likely Club by Elyssa Friedland
In my own writing, I need to work on fleshing out the side characters. I love that this book is about a friend group and I think it will help me back decisive choices for my characters.
Those are the ten I’m sticking to for now. I’ll keep you updated on these and when I finish them, I’ll choose ten more from my shelves to read!
