October Bucket List

A new month is upon us! September flew by in a bit of a blur. Between needing to recover from this busy Summer, opening and closing another show (that got an extension! yay!) I blinked and September was over. I spent most of it in a reading slump, which is a bummer, but I think I’m back to my normal paced self now!

Below are 10 things I want to do this month to make the most of the Fall season!

  1. Visit a Pumpkin Patch

Gotta get the whole experience! Plaid shirts, apple cider donuts, a hayride.

  2. Carve a Pumpkin

We didn’t do this last year (again) so this year it must be done!

  3. Watch Hocus Pocus Movie Night

Nick and I both aren’t into “scary” but we do love festive. Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown are our favs so I want to go all out on a fun October movie night.

  4. Enjoy a Bonfire with Friends

Some people may think bonfires are for Summer, but there’s nothing like a good old Fall fire.

  5. Go to a Corn Maze

Last year we went to a corn maze that was SO MUDDY so it was more survival mode than anything. This year, hopefully we have a drier experience!

  6. Prep-Tober

It’s nearly NaNoWriMo season again! I’ve participated in National Novel Writing Month for the last 3 years and I love the discipline it provides. I daily vlogged it all last year on TikTok and I’m not sure if I’ll be documenting it again but I’d like to try. I’ll be spending October preparing my work life and writing life to write 50,000 words next month!

  7. Host a Football Watch Party

We love watching the Bills games and our October schedule is a fun one!

  8. Fall Foliage Hike

We get some lovely foliage up here in Western New York. Since we couldn’t get to the Adirondacks this year, we’re going to take advantage of the areas near us, like Ellicottville!

  9. Visit a Brewery/Winery

We shockingly have some fun wineries and breweries! Before it gets too cold, I want to enjoy one on a crisp Fall weekend.

  10. Bake Bread

I never made sourdough like everyone else in 2020 so why not 2022?
