All About My Custom Book Ornaments

It’s no secret that I love the holiday season! In 2020, I discovered an Etsy shop that makes custom book cover ornaments. In a dark year, it was a small thing that brought me so much joy. When we moved into a two bedroom apartment, I suddenly had my own office and library. I was so sad that year, that Nick got me an extra Christmas tree for that room and we made it my book tree. These ornaments, though small, bring me so much joy.

I keep a note in my phone of all the books I read and love throughout the year that I might want to add to my collection. I make sure to choose my 4-5 star reads, the stories that made the biggest impact on me throughout the year, and some of my favorite classics. And obviously, if it’s got a beautiful cover, another point in its favor!

If you want clearer pictures of these, I have videos on my Instagram saved to the holiday highlights.

The shop is called Ink and Shrink Swag and the owner, Kristina, is a delight! She responds to emails quickly and is so easy to work with. She is upfront about her shipping times and still gets things to her customers as fast as possible. I have loved working with her so much!

I wrote this post about the process last year but I figured I’d update it for 2022 and put it out even earlier. Kristina is truly amazing, but the closer we get to the holidays, the busier she gets! I place an order in the Summer and then one in September as well.

I know it’s early, but the shop gets so busy in the Fall! If you want some for yourself or a gift, I highly recommend ordering early.

Custom Book Stacks

I have 3 stacks of series I loved throughout the years!

ACOTAR Series Ornament

Custom Off Campus Series Ornament

Custom Madison Kate Series Ornament

Individual Book Covers

I have them in the Jumbo size which is 1 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches and I think they’re the perfect size for a regular sized tree. For scale, my tree is 6 feet tall. The Small size would be perfect on a miniature tree or if you want daintier ornaments. The Small sizes are 1 1/8 x 1 1/2 in.

Not only are they a fun and special gift for yourself, they’re the perfect gift for any readers In your life. I know some teachers who get them for their classrooms or get one as a stocking gift for their children! When it isn’t the holiday season, I keep them stacked on my bookshelf and they never cease to make me smile. They’re also a great gift for an author!

In addition to the ornaments, Kristina also makes custom bookmarks, custom wine charms, custom keychains, custom book cover earrings! I highly recommend perusing her shop because she offers so much.

If you choose to purchase any for yourself, it would be so wonderful if you could use these links, as I make a very small commission from the sales from Etsy (at no extra cost to you or the small business seller) and it’s a small way to support me here at Read & Wright.

And if you get some, be sure to tag me on Instagram or TIkTok so I can them and geek out with you!
