Weekly Wrap Up 4/8/22

I think I rode my high from my indie bookstore tour all week. It was seriously the best day and it sounds so cheesy, but it was something I really needed to feel hopeful. I’ve been getting a lot of questions about if we’ll move back to NYC or maybe settle in Connecticut. Truthfully, I think we’re here to stay. Nick is very happy at his new job and we have friends in the area who we know we can rely on when we have a family one day. Being able to find small corners of this new place that feel familiar and make me excited to be a member of the community just filled me up with hope and excitement.
So I ended up having a great week! I’ve been trying to rework my morning and evening routines to revolve around screens less and I’ve been happy with the results so far. Plus, it was Beasley’s first birthday! She had a lovely day with lots of pets, playtime, and attention (her favorite). Plus chicken and rice for dinner and peanut butter ice cream (dog safe) for dessert. See what I was up to this week!

Purchases of the Week:

Denim Shorts // White Tee // Yellow Tee // Floral Top

I love love love these boxy vintage tee’s from Old Navy. They had them a few years ago and they’re a thicker material than a normal tee. I love that they’re “cropped” but don’t show any skin (it’s just not my vibe) but don’t cling to my body. I sized up to an XL in both. The floral top was an impulse vibe and I am obsessed with the denim shorts, the reason I went in!

Got My Eye On:

The Winter Visitors // The Sea of Tranquility // Daunt Books Blue Canvas Tote // Laptop Sleeve

I randomly found this cute children’s series while working on another post and now I want them all! I need a new laptop sleeve and how cute are the Daunt Books totes?!

Listening & Watching:

Moonshot

Weekend Plans:

Reading, relaxing, and writing are at the top of my list of priorities because I’m directing another children’s theatre show next week so I’m going to need all my energy! Have a great weekend my friends and keep an eye out for this week’s newsletter in your inbox.
