My 2022 Bullet Journal + Accessories

I took up bullet journaling in 2021 and it has become a hobby that brings me so much joy! It keeps me organized, creative, and it's a great way for me to destress and focus on something other than the state of the world.

My biggest advice to anyone who wants to start bullet journaling is to not overthink it. Which yes, I 100% realize is easier said than done. But as a chronic overthinker, I can tell you that it’s possible! Don’t focus on the “perfect” aesthetics that you can see on Pinterest. I commend anyone who is that creative and artistic, but I am not an artist.

But that does not mean I can’t keep a bullet journal! There are SO MANY options out there, between stickers and print offs that can make things simpler. I love pretty things but I also love simplicity and my Bullet Journal makes me so happy.

Supplies

This is my 2022 vision board!

  1. I use an Archer & Olive A5 Journal. I chose this Snowflake one from the Winter Collection. I want to try the B5, the next size up sometime, but I loved the Snowflake too much not to get it!

  2. These Watercolor Pens from Crayola are amazing and there are SO MANY color options! I love them!

  3. Star Rating Stickers, Spice Rating Stickers, etc—Alicia Marks It is my go to for Bujo stickers! I love her shop so much and a ton of my supplies come from her. I have a huge order coming with the open book stickers, headphones, and more!

  4. Book Sleeve—I keep my bullet journal and current supplies in a booksleeve! Mine is no longer available because the shop has closed, but you know I LOVE Happy Go Lovely Sleeves! And the maxi and midi styles have a pocket which is perfect for stickers and pens.

    Inspiration

    1. Allyson from Bookstaandbujo—She’s is the QUEEN! I love all her spreads and I’ll never be as creative as her but her spreads are truly the best to show you that anything goes and there are no rules.

    2. Amber Burns—Amber is truly the queen of journaling in every single form. Her bullet journal style is much more minimalist, which is LOVE. And it doesn’t have to just be about books! Amber does a great job reminding me of the most important thing: keep it simple and make it work for you.

    3. Ashley from Shelflove—Yes, Ash is one of my best friends (do you listen to our podcast??) but she also has the best and most beautiful spreads.

    4. Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram—Use the search function on these apps! You’ll find so much and see that it’s possible to draw inspiration from anywhere and that you have to make your bullet journal work for YOU.

What do you think? Are you a journaler? I love both style of journaling and I’m going to be leaning on them in 2022 to keep myself focused on my goals and intentions!
