Weekly Wrap Up 8-13-21
Happy Friday! This week started out feeling blah and ended on such a high note. I shared on my Instagram stories that I was able to connect with a mentor via Meghan Markle’s 40x40 Campaign thanks to Elizabeth Holmes of So Many Thoughts and wow, it brightened me up so much. I’m always so grateful to this community for allowing me to grieve so much this last year. Your support does not go unnoticed.
I shared some teary stories and elaborated more on the power of community. I hope to continue to build this community and add value to your lives, in the same way you’ve added value to mine.
I had a great reading week which always helps me to feel more centered. I hope you had a great week as well!

Watching & Listening:
I started a Schitt’s Creek rewatch because it’s good for the soul, in addition to watching Madame Secretary with Nick!
I also watched The Kissing Booth 3 this week. I love a good summery teen drama and this trilogy definitely fits the bill.
This episode of The Daily can be really infuriating to listen to. It is called Voices of the Unvaccinated and it’s difficult but also enlightening. I’ve seen a lot about how we need to change how we view these people, in order to help them feel comfortable and see the value of the vaccine. The Unvaccinated can be different from anti-vaxxers can be different from those who have totally politicized the Pandemic. I highly recommend it but be sure you’re in the right mindset. I had to stop halfway through my first listen because it made me so angry.
Recipe of the Week:
I’m going to be honest with you. We LOVE the TikTok Feta pasta trend from this past Winter. It’s so summery that I make it once a week and it’s great to have for lunches!
Weekend Plans:
We’re having a date night tonight that I am VERY excited about. We haven’t had a proper one since before we brought Beasley home. We’re also hoping to go kayaking. Summer is absolutely flying and I need to get all the fun in!
I hope you had a great week and a great weekend!
