Weekly Wrap Up 8-27-21

This week I really let myself lean into Summer. I’ve been saying this all August, but I truly hate the end of Summer. I love the warmth (but not the humidity) of the sun and the long days. Although, the days have already started to shorten up around here.

Instead of being sad, I decided I’d soak it all in so I don’t feel like I’m missing out. I went to the pool every evening to read and swim, took Beasley on long, slow morning walks, and made some of my favorite summer foods. We even had an outdoor puppy and pizza double date with our friends. It can take me a lot of convincing to slow down so I’m proud of myself for leaning into the small joys of summer.

Recipe of the Week:

We’ve been doing Salmon once a week in our quest to have more balanced meals. It’s easy for the summer and always delicious. A little olive oil, salt, pepper, and lemon! I’ve been serving Asparagus Risotto on the side.

Two fun Fall coffee finds at Target this week!

Weekend Plans:

We are headed to Connecticut to spend time with my family! We haven’t gotten to see my brother and sister in law since our wedding so I’m looking forward to a weekend with them. It’ll be Beasley’s first long car ride, but I’m excited to bring her to my hometown. We’ll be hitting up the beach, having s’mores, and relaxing with my family. I can’t wait!

I hope you all have the weekend you need most right now. See ya on Monday!
