Weekly Wrap Up 7-23-21
Oh this week kicked my B U T T. I could not sleep this week but on Wednesday, we finally had some gorgeous summer weather so I worked from pool that afternoon and it was the perfect midweek pick me up. I realize how privileged I am to have the ability to do this and I am so grateful.
But I did read 4 books this week, have some great writing time, and kept up another week of No Buy July. Which let’s be honest, this month is FLYING by. I can’t believe it.
Here’s what I was up to this week.
What I Read:
While We Were Dating by Jasmine Guillory—This book was a burst of sunshine and I loved it so much. It came into my life at the perfect time!
Survive the Night by Riley Sager—I shared my review this week and eh, this one wasn’t for me.
The Dating Dare by Jayci Lee—Available August 3!
The Summer of Broken Rules by K.L. Walther—
Currently Reading:
Love Scenes by Bridget Morrissey—Available now and I’m excited for the Hollywood romance.
We Are the Brennans by Tracey Lange—Available August 3!
No Buy July Update:
Another week of no purchases and feeling good! It’s funny, because I’m such a habitual person so now it just feels natural not to scroll or add things to my online cart. I haven’t been visiting the bookstore or even Target so I haven’t been tempted, but I’ve definitely figured out some things I need and want, especially for our space at home.
Got My Eye On:
I did very little scrolling this week and it felt so good!
Recipe of the Week:
Easy Taco salads! I found this recipe for homemade taco seasoning and we’ve been having it on repeat at least once a week because it’s so easy.
And I made my version of the Starbucks egg white bites at home. Chef’s kiss, so good and so easy!
Watching/Listening:
One Tree Hill and the Drama Queens Podcast have been my favorites lately, especially if I need an audiobook break.
I feel like the last person on Earth to discover the Be There Five Podcast but thanks to this episode with a writer I love and adore, Elizabeth Holmes, I’m now extremely invested.
Weekend Plans:
I’m hoping to get out golfing again since it was so nice and have a little pool time. We’ve had so much rain and storms or debilitating heat so I’m hoping this weekend will be lovely and relaxing again.
How was your week? What are you weekend plans?
