Weekly Wrap Up 6-18-21 — Read & Wright

This week was unexpectedly fantastic and productive, which made my heart incredibly happy. I needed it! My parents came to town for the first half of the week and it was so good to see them. Plus, it gave me the excuse to get out of the apartment a bit more which my mental health definitely needs.

We got dinner, went shopping, and just hung out around my work schedule. It was a delight!

It made for a light reading week but that’s totally okay—whether you read one book a month or twelve, you’re still a reader!

What I Read:

The Chase (Briar U #1) by Elle Kennedy—The first book in the Briar U series, which is the spin off of The Off Campus series. I liked this one, didn’t love, but will continue with the series!

Kate in Waiting by Becky Albertalli—This book took me BACK to high school, oh my goodness. It’s a YA book so expect that going in with the writing and tone, but if you were a theatre kid in high school, this book will take you right back to long weekend runs.

Sweethand by NG Peltier—I listened to this on audio (thank you Libro.fm!) and really enjoyed it!

Currently Reading:

Blush by Jamie Brenner—Out 6/22!

Purchases of the Week:

Amazon was doing a Buy 3 for the Price of 2 this week. I don’t typically buy books from Amazon but it was a great sale to get some titles I’ve been eyeing for a while! I also snagged these Swig Life skinny can coolers for Nick and me when we go golfing. They keep seltzers or beers cold for up to 12 hours!
