June Bucket List
Holy guacamole it’s JUNE! Happy Pride Month to all my Queer friends and readers! While I am a cis heterosexual woman, we are blessed to know and love some amazing Queer friends. Working in the Theatre world has brought us so many wonderful members of our found family. Our life would be incomplete without you. This is the perfect month to read some Queer lit!!! I’ll be sharing resources from Own Voices reviewers throughout the month.
We are officially halfway through 2021 which is wild. I won’t lie, the first half of the year was pretty rough. Between thinking we’d have to postpone our wedding again, to rushing to get everything ready, getting married, and taking a week long vacation… I’m kinda wiped out!
But, the best part of all that is now I have so much more brain space to focus on the things I want to accomplish before this year is out. June holds so many possibilities that I can’t wait for and I want to really establish a new routine now we’re not stuck in this limbo anymore.
Here are a few things I want to accomplish in the next 30 Days:
Jun-o-wrimo—NaNoWri happens in November and with the chaos of 2020, I didn’t really achieve my goals. That’s okay! But with the beauty of 30 days in June, I’m going to focus on writing every day to finally finish this dang draft.
Move My Body—I’ve fallen back into some habits that don’t make me feel my best. My goal is to move my body more. Golf, Tennis, and hiking are all sports I’m planning on doing a lot of this summer.
Start an IRL Book Club—Now that all of my friends are vaccinated, I want to finally start a book club!
Cook One New Recipe a Week—We have gotten into some meal ruts so I want to challenge myself to make a new recipe each week.
Read a book in one sitting—My favorite feeling is when a book just sucks you in and you can finish it in a single sitting!
Nothing too crazy. I like to keep things attainable and beneficial to me! What are hoping to accomplish in June?
