Easy Summer Drinks

One of my favorite parts of summer is gathering with friends for a barbeque. Lawn games. a fire, s’mores, it all makes me so happy! It’s also a great opportunity to make a new recipe to sample with friends.

A couple weeks ago, when the weather really started to get nice, friends had us over for an outdoor games night and I made a new cocktail based off of one I had from Smoke Signals on our Mini Moon in Lake Placid! It’s so refreshing and easy and inspired me to finally try some others.

All of these can be made with or without alcohol for a fun refreshing drink to have by your side while your read!

Cheers to Summer! What’s your favorite cocktail or mocktail?

Sevilla Spritzer—My summer drink!

Orange Gin, Lemon Simple Syrup, Prosecco, Oranges and Lemon to garnish

When I’m just making one for myself, I’ll substitute a lemon white claw for the prosecco.

Mocktail version: 1 1/2 oz orange juice, lemon simple syrup, tonic, fresh lemon juice, lemon and orange to garnish

Ranch Water—I learned about this from my friend Claire last summer and it’s so refreshing! It’s like a lighter margarita.

Blanco Tequila, 1 1/2 ounces lime juice, Topo Chico Seltzer, lime garnish

Mocktail Version: Leave out the Tequila or there are some great Alcohol Removed Tequilas that Claire has shared!

To further dress it up, add a splash of grapefruit juice or chili lime salt to the rim! Origin of the Ranch Water from this Southern Living article.
