My Favorite Gifts & Purchases of 2021
A round up of some of the favorite items that came into my life this year! As we continued to spend more time at home, small pieces of comfort were my lifeline during Year 2 of the Pandemic. From tech and reading accessories to tea and cozy sweaters, I hope these make you smile as much as they do for me!
Reading/Tech Accessories
Kindle Paperwhite—I wrote this blog post after having my Kindle for a month. I loved it even more than I thought could ever be possible! It’s totally changed my reading for the better, which I didn’t think was possible.
Kindle Paperwhite 11th Generation—Since I loved my Kindle Paperwhite so much, I couldn’t resist trying the newest version! I upgraded this one to the 32G and without ads. It also has wireless charging!
Kindle Decal—The Kindle Paperwhite doesn’t come with a white outer shell, which I prefer for my electronics, so I ordered this decal! They come in lots of fun prints!

Page Book Light—This is totally something I’ve had my eye on for a long time and after being sent one, I totally am obsessed. It’s so great!

Ring Light —I ordered a ring light for meetings early last winter and it has been a game changer! This one does need to be plugged in so make sure you have room in your power strip!
Bullet Journal —I started bullet journaling last January and fell in love with it because I pushed past my perfectionist tendencies and just had fun. I ordered one from Archer & Olive this year but I had a simple one from Michael’s last year!

Book Cart—Another thing I didn’t think I needed and now love having! I keep my booksleeves in it as well as my immediate TBR. It helps keep me organized and reading my review copies on time. It’s also portable so you can put it in any room!
Carson Book Shelves—These were a wedding gift from my book friends and they were totally the most perfect gift in the entire world. I treasure them greatly and they look so sleek!
Espresso Machine—Nick picked this out and I was skeptical at first. I just wanted the simplicity of the Nespresso. But Nick’s Italian self wanted “real” espresso and I’ve enjoyed having it!
Fireplace Space Heater —Having this in my office has been a game changer. It makes everything a little bit cozier and makes our apartment feel a little more homey.
MacBook Pro —A very big purchase, but I simply love it. I had been using my 2012 MacBook Pro and it was on its last leg. A new computer has totally made work so much easier for me!
Happy Go Lovely Sleeves —A favorite every year but Rachel really out did herself this year! Booksleeves can protect your books while you travel! I always keep them in my purse or tote bag. I like the Maxi size for hardcovers, the midi for paperbacks, and the mini for my Kindle! I also use one for my bullet journal and all it’s supplies.
COZY
Dudley Stephens Greenpoint —I adore this woman owned business that creates their fleece from recycled water bottles. How cool is that?!
Book Ornaments —Probably my favorite purchases every year. I order more every year of books that I love and they’ve become a very special collection over the years.
Library Stamp —How cool is this? I get very anxious lending out books but I love sharing them with friends! So now I have a little library system and it’s so fun to see the readership grow!
Bridesmaid Robes—These were a huge hit for my wedding! I still wear the one I got for myself during the spring/summer.
Trope Tea —It’s delicious, cozy, and relates to Romance. Nothing could make me happier.
Camel Coat—I needed a new coat and I love that this one has a hood!
Laptop Bag—I have been needing a new professional bag for YEARS and I’m thrilled to have this one. It’s so pretty and fits my laptop!
I’d love to know your favorite gifts! It’s always nice to have a running list for future birthdays and holidays!
