My 2021 Jolabokoflod Choice

Last week I shared a little bit about the Jolabokoflod tradition and how we’ve adopted it into our family. I’ve gone back and forth on what I want to read this year because it feels like everything went SO quickly this year…even though I’ve been reading holiday books since August practically lol. But after the past week, I know I need all the comfort I can get so I’m going with a reread of one of my favorite series.

I’ll link my review of Forever Wild from last year here!

It’s no surprise that The Simple Wild is reappearing in my life right now. Between the uncertainty and fatigue brought on by this new Covid variant in the air, the stress of the holidays, and typical end of year blues that tend to creep in, I needed to return to Alaska. I’m so excited to cuddle up with it by the light of the tree on Christmas Eve!

I’m also looking forward to rereading this series again because Running Wild is out in January! It follows Marie’s story and if you’ve read this series…you may know Marie is not a favorite character of mine. However, I don’t think we were supposed to like her because it was Calla’s story. I’m hoping to find Marie’s story redeeming and relatable when we go on her happily ever after!
