Review: Beach Read by Emily Henry

Genre: Adult Romance
Beach Read by Emily Henry was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and I have to say that I definitely judged this book by its title and cover. It is definitely more Romance than RomCom, which i was expecting. But it’s still a sweet book and will sweep you away with its love story.

Synopsis:
What I liked:

• The feeling. I don’t know how else to phrase this, but this book is warm. It’s cerebral and romantic and gives you the warm fuzzies.

• The concept. I loved the idea of two writers trading genres. I thought this would produce more banter, based off the synopsis, but that was a mistake on my part.

What I Didn’t Like:

• The pacing. It started out slowwwww.

• The stop and go of the relationship. I like a slow burn. I don’t want to give any spoilers but if you have questions, you can always leave a comment or DM me on Instagram!
