Wireless Headphone Review: Sudio
I am notoriously late to the party with trends. I don’t trust them! And I am annoyingly stubborn and don’t like being told what to do, so it takes a while for me to break down and fall into something. One of those things are wireless headphones!
I didn’t understand them when they first came out and resisted and resisted, until I couldn’t take it anymore. Nick got me a pair of AirPods for Christmas and I will fully say…life changing.
I love my wireless headphones because they make it SO EASY to listen to audiobooks! During this time of uncertainty, I’ve been leaning on audiobooks to transport me into stories when I can’t focus on reading a physical book. Remember—Libro.fm is a fantastic way to support your favorite independent bookstores while we wait for the world to get back on its feet.
When the lovely team at Sudio reached out and offered to send me a pair of their wireless earbuds to try out, I was excited to see what another style could offer. Especially because Nick doesn’t like Apple earphones (he says they don’t fit in his ears and hurt), I figured their had to be more people out there like him!
Though Sudio did send me these wireless headphones, all opinions and reviews are my own.
I wanted to round up some of the pros and cons of each of these headphones, in case you’re deciding between them!
AirPods
Pros: remove one to pause, hold a charge really well, great distance for listening, microphone for taking calls
Cons: only available in white, charge one pod at a time, Find by iPhone only works when they are outside the case, not noise canceling
Sudio
Pros: fun colors, unique shape for comfortable fit, noise canceling, microphone for taking calls, buttons to pause, play, skip, and go back
Cons: sometimes cut in and out, no app, ability to find if lost, no user interface (like Bose)
Pricing:
AirPods—$159
AirPods Pro—$249
Sudio—$129
Nick and I each tested them out, since he has Bose wireless headphones and I have the AirPods. We like them! Nick said he would use the Sudio ones over AirPods. I think I like the AirPods more by shape, but I love the look of the Sudio ones and that they come in such fun colors! And it’s really nice to control them without my phone.
If you’d like to get yourself a pair, use code andwright at checkout for 15% off your order! In month of April, Sudio will also be donating 10% of every purchase of their Green products to the Wilde Fund for Nature.
Thank you to Sudio for sending me my Tolv headphones in Pastel Blue in exchange for my honest review.
