Redecorating Inspiration

With all this time at home, I have been itching to redesign every inch of our apartment. Once we started receiving wedding gifts, it was nearly impossible for me to resist getting rid of anything that says “college” in our home. We’ve been together so long, we’ve held on to so much! It’s so nice to have cohesive pieces now and I want to see that throughout our tiny apartment.

I love looking to my friends for home decor inspiration. Elsa and Claire have such a similar style to mine that I can’t help but take inspiration from them! I love that Claire tackles so many home projects bravely. She painted her son’s bedroom one day last week with such joy and I couldn’t help but think that I’d be like, “Let me panic with every stroke.” Claire just goes for it and it turns out fantastically. I also love Carly’s home. It’s such a bright blend of classic with the freshness of the right modern pieces.

Sydney is a huge home decor inspiration for me as well! I love her blend of antique, masculine pieces with fresh and feminine decor. I wish I was as patient as her to find those timeless pieces!

When you live in a small space, you HAVE to get creative with what you can do. Here are some pieces we’re hoping to get for our home, slowly, since this is such a time of financial insecurity. I’m looking for pieces that offer more space and storage. We’ve been living without a dining table for almost a year and I am done with that life! I used to be that girl who constantly rearranged my room, driving my parents constantly (RIP my hardwood floors). This has brought me right back to that point!
