Weekly Wrap Up 4-17-20
Another week in quarantine in the books (Ba Da Dum)! Honestly, if we didn’t have our wedding to worry about this year, I think I’d absolutely love this. Nick travels so much for work that it has been a joy to have him home. I’ve never cooked more in my life, had more time to take walks and exercise while listening to my audiobooks, and snuggle up to make a dent in my TBR. Now that we’ve settled in, I think there might be a time when I’ll miss this period of uninterrupted time to myself. *gasp*. If only the gym would reopen, it was safe to go to the grocery store, and we could have our wedding as planned, I think I could get used to some aspects of this lifestyle.
Yesterday was Read & Wright’s second birthday! Thank you so much for all the kind words and support. The support every day makes me smile, but celebrating a milestone is even cooler.

Read: I finished A Court of Wings and Ruin and it ruined me. I love this series so much!
The Happy Ever After Playlist—This one published on Tuesday 4/7 but I had an Advanced Audio copy (thanks, libro.fm and Hachette Audio!) and it was a joy to listen to. I’m going to do a full review because it has a few Trigger Warnings and I’m interested to know how people feel about it. The Friend Zone is written by the same author and has a very divided audience! It it either LOVED or HATED. But I liked this one! It was the first Romance I listened to and was a nice break.
Beach Read by Emily Henry—I was hoping to get more banter out of this book! It is a BEAUTIFUL book, but not what I thought it was going to be based on the description. It’s more The Girl He Used to Know style romance as opposed to The Unhoneymooners. Less RomCom, more cerebral. Still really good, but just not what I was in the mood for. Available May 19, 2020
Currently Reading—A Court of Frost and Starlight. I’ve put this one off because I’m just not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet! The good thing is that there are going to be 4 more books! Another novella followed by a series following Nesta’s story! Safe to say…I CANNOT WAIT.

Purchases—I caved. I made some irrational quarantine purchases this week but…I’m also not sorry about it. I made it 5 weeks people!!!!! I deserved it! Right? Someone tell me I’m right.
Bookmarks—The ACOTAR obsession is real.
Serpent and Dove—My next foray into some fantasy!
Candles—I’m telling you…it’s a deep, deep obsession.
Tortiseshell Apple Watch Band—I’ve been wanting this for months! My rose gold band is turning gray and it’s under $20 so why the heck not?!
We have loose weekend plans. On Saturday we have to do some online marriage courses that we were supposed to do through our church but they’ve now moved to a webinar. And then we’re hoping to get out and get some fresh air! Ashley and I are going to record the Podcast and then hopefully I’ll have LOTS of reading time. I’m also thinking it might be the perfect time to change over my closet from Fall/Winter to Spring/Summer. Why the heck not at this point!
