Weekly Wrap Up 3-13-20
Alright, what.a.WEEK. The COVID19 drama has really taken over on the east coast. I’m grateful for the precautions being taken to protect the at risk parties in my community! But it’s definitely a little spooky and as someone with anxiety and a tendencies to jump to “worst case scenario”, I’ve certainly learned a lot about staying calm. As my new favorite YouTube channel tells me, “Be alert, not anxious.”
But if you’re feeling anxious, that is totally okay. Memes are funny and a great distraction, but you’re not stupid for feeling the way you do. I mean, it’s crazy how much has changed in a week. I can’t way that I’m shocked, yet when Broadway went dark yesterday afternoon…it all finally hit home. I’ve been leaning into my books more than ever and I hope you will too.
Here’s what I read this week:
If You Want to Make God Laugh, The Girl He Used to Know, Darling Rose Gold
Currently Reading: Undercover Bromance and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
Next Up: A Court of Thorns of Roses—my sweet friend Ashley got the first two books in this series for me as a “we’ll get through this” gift and when I tell you I cried…i ugly cried. It was such a wonderful gesture and a reminder we need to stick together as a community during these crazy times.
On My Style Radar: my new gingham sneakers from the Shopbop sale
Weekend Plans: My first Bridal Shower is the weekend (I’m having two) and I’m so excited! I found the perfect dress and I’m thrilled to begin some fun parts of the wedding celebrations!
Stay well and treat yourself and community with kindness!
