Happy Publishing Day to Red, White, & Royal Blue!

Now that I’ve been getting more and more advanced reader copies, I’ve been more aware how difficult it is to hear how amazing a book is in a review, only to be told it doesn’t come out for another 6-9 months. I’m trying to be wary of that: writing reviews in a timely manner for publishers and marketing teams while also not teasing you. 

In that vain, I’m linking my review of Red, White, & Royal Blue, which I read last month and ABSOLUTELY loved. It’s a fantastic book that made my liberal heart so happy. I want to wish the publishing team and author, Casey McQuiston, a very happy pub day! 

We can only hope we get a sequel, as I loved the characters so much but I also loved the world. It gave me hope in a time when things have felt so hopeless. I am a proud Democrat and will always keep the lines open for political conversation. 

I think a lot can be learned from Red, White, & Royal Blue. If you’ve ever felt like you don’t understand queer culture or the LGBTQ+ community, I urge you to read this book. Similarly, if you feel like you are struggling to be your authentic self, I urge you to read this book. You are not alone.
