It’s been awhile since I’ve been focused on keeping you updated here. I’ve reached a point of burn out—and needed a weekend off from books. Crazy concept, right? But my review pile for publishers is staggering and the pressure got to me. So instead, I watched a lot Ru Paul’s Drag Race (6 seasons now on Hulu YAS), changed my closet over to my fall/winter wardrobe, and decluttered the apartment. And let me tell you, it felt GOOD. 

Then I needed to hop on the subway late Sunday night, so I grabbed the thinnest book on my shelf: Blind Dates, Bridesmaids, and Other Disasters. 

My friends, my burn out is done and I am full loving this book. It is just what the doctor ordered if I’m being honest and I’m here for it. I’ll do a full review when I’m finished (I finished it last night by staying up WAY too late and it was so perfect and wonderful!), but here’s the synopsis if you’re interested! 

On the surface, Rachel Stevens's life looks perfect.

It’s also Tuesday, which means there are new books out in the world! What Happens in Paradise, the sequel to Winter in Paradise by my girl Elin Hilderbrand. And The Furies by Katie Lowe which I wanted to LOVE and ugh, just couldn’t get into it. It’s a huge bummer because I was pretty hyped for it!
