Kids Books to Celebrate Halloween

For a long time, I have collected children’s books. It wasn’t something I set out to do, but very quickly I realized that when we traveled or I was at the bookstore, I always fell in love with a picture book and had to bring it home. I try to keep my purchases to a few a year, since I don’t have anyone besides myself to read them too, but I love to find some used at library sales or while thrifting!

My favorite kids book that I gravitate towards are seasonal ones. Is anyone surprised? So here are 9 kids books perfect for the Halloween season.

Halloween in the Orchard by Phylis Alsdurf

The Autumn Visitors by Karel Hayes

How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin? by Margaret McNamara

The Big Pumpkin by Erica Silverman

The Halloween Tree by Susan Montanari

Misunderstood Monsters by Tessa Pfeifer

Trick or Treat on Scary Street by Lance Bass

Ghost Afraid of the Dark by Sara Conway

Every Night at Midnight by Peter Cheong
