Audiobooks for Hot Girl Walks, Summer Hikes, and Spring Cleaning
I love audiobooks. Especially during extremely busy seasons of life, audiobooks are always there for me to keep my reading life alive. During the Summer, I love to take long walks with my dog while listening to audiobooks. I definitely wouldn’t classify myself as a hot girl, but hot girl walks are a vibe. These are some summery titles that I think will be perfect for whatever long drives, outdoor activities, or errand running you have before vacation this year!
My favorite way to listen to audiobook is through Libro.fm but I also like to use the libby app through my library and Everand!
Happy Place by Emily Henry, narrated by Julia Whelan
One of my favorite books by this author and favorite books of all time. It’s set in Maine and bounces backward and forward in time as a couple navigates their recent break up on the last friend vacation with their best friends from college. A great atmospheric, emotional listen.
The Summer of Broken Rules by K.L. Walther, narrated by Lyssa Browne
Set on Martha’s Vineyard, a young woman must process the loss of her sister at the first large family function since her death. A beautiful setting and a budding romance!
One Last Word by Suzanne Park, narrated by Catherine Ho
Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez, narrated by Christine Larkin and Zachary Webber
You can’t go wrong with this narrator duo especially since this book is perfect for anyone who loves an emotional summer read. It’s set on a lake in Minnesota and dives into family tension, drama, and finding yourself amidst tragedy.
In a Not So Perfect World by Neely Tubati-Alexander
If you’re headed to the Caribbean this Summer or a tropical island, you’ll want to read this book about a female video game designer as she balances love, heartbreak, and her dream job.
Tom Lake by Ann Patchett
Narrator by Meryl Streep, this book takes the reader back in time as the main character shares the story of her first great love and her previous life as an actress. This was so good not only because it’s narrated by Queen Meryl, but it’s a gentle, quiet book that pulls you through time.
Colton Gentry’s Third Act by Jeff Zitner
A highly enjoyable, atmospheric audiobook about a country singer who speaks out against gun violence and loses his career. He reconnects with his high school sweetheart and works in her restaurant. It’s light and fun but also poignant and touches on a cause I think close to a lot of our hearts.
The Sicilian Inheritance by Jo Piazza
If you’re looking for a book that will transport you to Italy with some family drama and mystery, this is the type of book that will have you looking for more chores so you can keep reading.
A Happier Life by Kristy Woodson Harvey
A woman must clean out the 200 year old home belonging to her grandparents she never knew. Set in a charming small, southern town, this is the perfect book to listen to in the car on your way to beach to set the scene.
