May 2024's New Book Releases on My Radar
Summer reading is right around the corner! May’s new releases are heating up and teasing of long day spend at the beach or pool, soaking up the sun and new stories. Keep an eye on for this year’s Summer Reading Guide, which is coming next month and I cannot wait to share it. I say this every year, but I really think it’s going to be the best one yet. I love making it better and better every year!
Mistakes We Never Made by Hannah Brown
A rom com from Bachelorette star, Alabama Hannah! Two frenemies must fake it til they make it when one fo their mutual friends is getting married.
Blood at the Root by Ladarrion Williams
YA fantasy is one of my favorite genres because it is so creative. I think this is perfect for anyone enjoyed Legendborn! It’s another urban fantasy set on a college campus.
This Summer Will Be Different by Carley Fortune
A second chance romance set on Prince Edward Island! It’s got found family and an emphasis on female friendship. I love Carley’s books so I can’t wait!
Say You Mean It by Megan Reinking
Did I add this book to my TBR because the cover reminded me of The Simple Wild? Very possibly yes. It’s a small town, slow burn romance with the “strangers to friends to lovers” trope. The northern setting also seems perfect for my taste! On Kindle Unlimited as well which is always a win!

The Dixon Rule by Elle Kennedy
if it’s in the Off Campus universe, I will be reading it. This is the second book after The Graham Effect and I know it will be a juicy brain candy good time.
The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren
I loved Christina Lauren’s last two books, which was very exciting because they are the author duo that got me into Romance! Plus, it’s fake dating. My favorite trope!
The Guncle Abroad by Steven Rowley
Step back into the witty, lovely world of Patrick and his niece and nephew as they navigate a new marriage, break ups, extended grief, and new family members. All in the gorgeous backdrop of France, England, and Italy.
Savor It by Tarah DeWitt
A forced proximity small town romance set in a coastal Oregon town! A recipe (used that word for a reason) for success when it comes to my taste in romances.
Lies and Weddings by Kevin Kwan
I’m always looking for a good book about rich people problems to get me out of my own head and no one does it quite like Kevin Kwan.
Summer on Highland Beach by Sunny Hostin
I love that Sunny Hostin has been highlighting Martha’s Vineyard in her books! I still need to read the first one. It’s on my summer reading list!
The Quince Project by Jessica Parra
I always crave YA around this time of year and this sounds so fun. It’s about a teen who has unexpectedly lost her mother. She feels like everything is crumbling around her and seizes onto what she can control: an internship for a major event planner.
Summer Nights and Meteorites by Hannah Reynolds
I think this might be released on May 21, but I had to include this summery YA set on Nantucket!
