5 Spotify Playlists for the Christmas Season

I LOVE Christmas music. It is an immediate relaxing agent for me. I get the itch to start listening in mid October, but I always hold off until November 1. It feels special that way. And honestly, I don’t get sick of it. I think this is because I curate my playlists and listening time. I like a classic Christmas playlist, but I also do enjoy some of the modern classics as well.

A Ralph Lauren Christmas

This is for all my classic style fans. It is chock full of the Christmas classics from Ella Fitzgerald, Bing Crosby, and Frank Sinatra. It’s sprinkled with some instrumental surprises, secular and religious carols and feels like Christmas in New York. It’s rich and cozy and would be a great background for Christmas dinner or a snow Sunday morning.

A Very Nancy Meyers Christmas

One of the best Christmas movies of all time is The Holiday and I will stand on that forever and ever. Who wrote and directed it? Nancy Meyers. This is the playlist for cooking Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner in your kitchen with the savory smells of roasting turkey, onions and leeks, and the festive spices. It’s for your book club’s holiday party or girl’s ornament exchange. It’s light and fresh and feminine.

Jingle Beaus

We’ve been Hailee Steinfeld fans for a while but now that she is the First Lady of the Buffalo Bills (she dates Quarterback Josh Allen!) I am a bigger fan. I love her weekly newsletter, Beau Society, and she shared this great playlist in a November issue. It’s more bouncy and modern Christmas music, making it perfect for a holiday party and could be listened to on New Years too.

Sad Girl Christmas

Anyone else obsessed with Brooke’s holiday product reviews? I love her playlists too! This is a subtle Christmas playlist, perfect for working from home or with headphones at the office when you need to buckle down and get work down. It’s moody and a bit more wintery than Christmassy. I like to put this on while I’m working and usually listen to it throughout January as well.
