Books by Trope: Shakespeare Inspired Romances

Most of my professional acting career has been with Shakespeare and I love nothing more than reading a modern Rom Com that is based on the classics of Shakespeare! Mostly, what I love about these adaptations is that it gives the author an opportunity to diversify and modernize a classic story structure. I’ll never forget that I saw the incredible social media team from The Novel Neighbor after they shared seeing Much Ado About Nothing for the first time. Did Shakespeare invent Enemies to Lovers? Kind of!

Here are some Rom Coms that make Shakespeare’s plays even better.
