June Bucket List Check In
Each month, I make a bucket list. It’s comprised of 10 things I want to focus on for that month, whether it’s things I want to do or things I want to focus on. But I realized I rarely check in on those goals with myself once the month ends. It’s not a bad thing if I don’t do all 10 things on the list, there more of a guideline for me to make the most of my time. Since the pandemic, I’ve felt like time has slipped through my fingers and I HATE feeling like I’m wasting time.
I was really struggling with my mental health this Spring and while things are still hard, I put myself first in June and felt like I had more control. There were still bad days, but I felt like I had a better handle on how to approach where my head has been. So, let’s check in!
June Bucket List Items:
Have a Pool Day
Check! Plenty of them this month :)
Read 4 Books for the #ReadIntoSummerReadathon
I read 3!
Journal for 30 Days
This was the hardest thing for me to do this month…I find when I’m struggling with my mental health, being alone with my thoughts in my journal is SO hard. But, when I’m not journaling, I’m not able to write. So, I got back into the habit and journaled at least 4 days a week this month. I think I want to write out some prompts for July.
30 Day Writing Routine
So sad to say this didn’t happen, but it can happen next month! I’ll be doing Camp NaNoWriMo.
Go to the Drive In
It didn’t happen in June, but we’re going to try for July!
Get My Favorite Ice Cream
Check check check!
Go to the Farmer’s Market
Our weekends were on the busy side and one was canceled due to the terrible air quality, but we’re going to go in July :)
Try a New Grilling Recipe
Not yet, but have a few saved I can’t wait to try.
Go for a New Hike
Check! I started running this month and have found some great trails. I didn’t want to only run on asphalt and I’m loving enjoying more time outside.
Plan a Summer Dinner Party
Kinda. I planned a Summer pool day with two of my friends! Since we don’t have a backyard just yet, I feel bad inviting people over to sit inside or on our tiny patio balcony. But hopefully one day soon we’ll be able to host!
I’m ready for a new month and a fresh start, now that I have a bit more control over where my head and heart are hovering now. What’s on your Summer Bucket List?
