Weekly Wrap Up 6/16/23

Besides a layer of clouds and rain, this was such a good week. I wrote in my newsletter last week that I was feeling so down on myself. Well, I decided to do my best about doing something, anything, to make small changes in order to feel better. So far, it’s worked.
Every day, I added three “Home” items to my to do list. When I finish work for the day, I set a timer for 30 minutes, put on an audiobook, and get to tidying our space. It’s amazing what I can do in 30 minutes! I used to do this all the time and it seriously makes a huge difference. It also reminds me that the tasks I need to do each day really don’t take as long as I think I do.

I also picked up my journal again. I’ve ignored it for most of this year because I was truly so overwhelmed, I was afraid to face my own thoughts. But, that only made everything so much worse. Now, I journal daily again, I picked up my writing projects, and I’m working on my routines. I feel so, so, SO much better. Sometimes i think i just really need to hit rock bottom (aka, crying in a coffee shop to my friend last week) in order to start building myself back up.

Weekend Plans:

My best friend Mark and I are headed to Pittsburgh for the Taylor Swift concert! We didn’t think it was going to possible to get tickets but we’re so so excited that we were able to get tickets a shockingly reasonable price. I can’t believe we’re going! Other than that, I’m hoping to get some sun and pool time in. The weather hasn’t been great and I really need some sunshine and reading by the pool.
