Weekly Wrap Up 10/27/23

I hope you’re all hanging in and that your loved ones are safe. October has been full of pain and it’s important to take care of ourselves so that we can keep fighting and advocating for others. It’s a great time to check your voter registration and get ready for the election cycles.

I’ve had a busy week with my students as they prepare for their first showcase of the year. And while I have been reading a ton, it’s mostly via audiobook because I still have struggled to focus on eyeball reading. I have a busy weekend with work, but I am hoping to carve out some quiet time to read a physical book on my TBR.

I can’t believe October is drawing to a close. I started this month so full of hope and motivation. The weight of the world is definitely on so many of our shoulders. I am hoping to still find some creativity in November for NaNoWriMo, but if you are struggling, you are not alone.

I didn’t make any purchases this week and it felt good! I’m trying to be more mindful about where I’m spending my money and why.

Weekend Plans:

I want to spend some time decluttering and deep cleaning this weekend. Since the world is so weary, I am for sure decorating my office for Christmas extra early this year. It’s not a solution but it’s something that will make me happy. I hope you all stay safe and find some peace this weekend.
