Once the holidays are over, I am craving travel. I really love to be home November-December because the time goes by so quickly and I like to soak it all in. But once we get into January, I am READY for a fresh perspective. The Last Summer at the Golden Hotel by Elyssa Friedland
If you are a fan of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, you will love this book and its relation to season 2! It takes place In the Catskill Mountains of New York and it’s just lovely.
You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty by Akwaeke Emezi
One of my favorite books of 2022! This book was extremely experiencial; you can feel the humidity of the island and heat from the sun. I found it to be achingly romantic, messy, and like eating an ice cold popsicle on the hottest Summer day of the year.
Lucy Checks In by Dee Ernst
I was at the bookstore once and I overheard two young women talking about this cover. They said, “It’s giving Emily in Paris.” And honestly, they weren’t wrong.
Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan

One Hot Italian Summer by Karina Halle
A friend of mine has been raving about this book since she read it over the Summer and I need to read it. Karina Halle writes hot and spicy romance with a lot of heart.
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
I feel like this is a Romance “classic” at this point. It was one of my gateways into the genres and is set in Hawaii. The banter it top notch and you’ll. be booking a flight to an island ASAP.
Seating Arrangements by Maggie Shipstead
There’s something about a big family wedding that feels like a vacation read. maybe because I’m in a stage where most of my vacations are related to weddings for friends and families, but this one is perfect to take with you no matter your destination!
The Summer of Broken Rules by K.L. Walther
I adore this book about a huge family set on Martha’s Vineyard. It’s a coming of age story about grief, mischief, and falling in love big and hard.
The Layover by Lacie Waldon
A romance about a flight attendant and former pilot, who happens to be her nemesis 👀
