What I Read in September 2022

Oh September, you sneaky sneaky month. September was not a great reading month for me but it was a month of recovery. After my busy Summer (are you tired of me mentioning this?) and going right into another show, I really needed to let my brain and body recover. That meant less reading! I was able to find my groove again by the end of the month and I’m so glad because I sleep better when I’m reading regularly. My writing is also better!

But I’m often asked, “Do you ever take breaks?” and I also say yes! But I feel like this was longest “slump” I’d ever been in since I started sharing my reading life on the Internet. So, please know that reading breaks are normal, encouraged, and when you find that special book, you’ll get right back into it.

The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling

I read this via audio and it was cute! Not a new favorite but it was a fun and festive listen for Fall.

A Ghost in Shining Armor by Therese Beharrie

Another super fun, cute Romance that was great for the Fall/Halloween season. It’s not set at Halloween but there’s a paranormal aspect that was really entertaining.

The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy by Megan Bannen

If you want a sweet, atmospheric Romance with a little spice, this was such a great Fall read! It was cozy and digestible as someone who doesn’t read a lot of fantasy.

The Bodyguard by Katherine Center

I…didn’t like this book lol.

The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker

My annual Fall reread! Loved it, always and forever will. "

Icebreakers by Hannah Gold

The book that broke my slump! AHHHHHH it was just what I needed. Full review coming soon!

Wild at Heart by K.A. Tucker

Reread via audio and yes, I still love it.

The Christmas Blanket by Kandi Steiner

This had Sweet Home Alabama vibes but make it Vermont. I want to read more of Kandi Steiner now!
