September Bucket List

I am staying true to the lunar calendar and it will be Summer in my mind until September 21st. I am a broken record but Summer goes by way too quickly here and soon it will be snowing again so I will be soaking up every moment of the seasons. But once the air turns crisp, I will go full Fall, I promise.

A lot of my life revolves around tradition. These bucket lists remind me that each month and season holds things that are special to me, like the Bills’ Home Opener and tailgating, visiting the apple orchard and baking a pie with our loot. Fall is full of tradition and that’s why I love it.

  1. Make an Epic Game Day Spread

    2. Plant Mums

  2. We didn’t do our Summer garden this year and I was so sad about it. I missed that part of my Summer routine. But I will be decking out our porch with mums, pumpkins, and maybe a hay bail if Nick lets me.

  3. Bake An Apple Pie

I love Apple Picking so much and making a fresh pie with all the treats we bring home. We have some fantastic local farms around here!

  4. Clean Out My Closet

It MUST happen this month. I’m drowning in excess and there are so many other people who will benefit from the things I’m not using.

  5. Clean Out My Books

If my Summer Long Book Buying ban taught me anything, it’s that I do not need ANY BOOKS.

  6. Make Chili and Cornbread

I always save this simple, classic meal for the first crisp day. Luckily the ingredients are easy to keep in the cupboard. But i just imagine cozy Sundays in my most worn in crewneck while it simmers in the crockpot.

  7. Be Consistent with my Morning Routine

I established a morning routine in August that I LOVE. But it’s easy for me in the Summer because it gets light so early. Once the mornings are cold and dark, it gets so much harder. So, I will be determined to keep it up in September, so it’s easier in October and November.

  8. No Spend September

I failed at No Buy July so I’m going to try No Spend September! Same rules: essentials only.

  9. Visit the Cider Mill

If you’re in the WNY area, a visit to Mayer Brothers Cider Mill is a MUST for a Fall activity.

  10. Perfect Final Draft of my Writing Project

It’s been a long time coming but this final pass will be it. I’m so excited!

What’s on your list for September?
