KU Holiday Romances

One of my favorite simple pleasures in life is KU holiday romances. You can find so many, in so many subgenres, to suit whatever mood you’re in. Historical romance? Covered. Contemporary? You bet. Why Choose? A Plethora. Closed door? Got that too. High spice? But of course.

I’ve rounded up some favorite that I’ve read and some that are on my TBR as well! I love to read them into January because they keep my spirits up. Sometimes I read them in April and July. KU Holiday romances never let me down.

Christmas Escape Series—7 Novellas by a group of authors

This series is high on my holiday TBR! All the covers are adorable and I love how you can read them in any order. Plus, they all take place in such unique places. I’m most intrigued by Christmas in Newport.

The Christmas Blanket by Kandi Steiner

I read this novella this year and loved the balance between emotional connection and Christmas vibes. It’s a second chance romance with the snowed in trope!

The Fake Santa Apology Tour by Julie Olivia

Another novella that’s super cute. It was a favorite of mine, but if you like an age gap romance and something not too long, you may enjoy this one!

Marby’s Minor Mistake by Sam E. Kraemer

This cover makes me grave a gingerbread cookie and I don’t know why. But it sounds so fun! It’s a second chance, enemies to lovers romance. The two MC’s meet in college and are reunited years later and have a lot to forgive.

Hope Island Holiday Romances by Teagan Hart

This looks like another super cute series! There are four that follow Christmas and New Years but there are even some that go to Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day!

A Cross Country Christmas by Courtney Walsh

This is a closed door novella with the brother’s best friend and road trip tropes! I read it last year and it was cute, not too cheesy.

Lovelight Farms by B. K. Borrison

I think this has become a favorite series for a lot of Romance readers after it released in 2021. The first book takes place on a Christmas tree farm and covers a multitude of the Fall holidays. It didn’t become a favorite for me, but so many trusted people I know love it!

Faking Under the Mistletoe by Ashley Shepherd

I love how fun this book is. It’s a fake dating, grumpy sunshine, enemies to lovers office Romance. Is that enough tropes for you? It’s one I reread every season because it packs the vibes I love and while it does touch on the Me Too movement, it’s still so fun and festive without getting cheesy.

How My Brother’s Best Friend Stole Christmas by M. O’Keefe

This is one on my TBR for this holiday season!

Wicked Christmas by Skye Moon

This cover! For anyone looking something a little darker this time of year.

Holiday Ex-Files by Jennifer Peel

The MC used to love the holidays but when she catches her husband with another woman under the Christmas tree, she edits him out of the wedding photos in a viral post online. But her ex-husband’s best friend Noah has now entered the picture…

The Mistletoe Kisser by Lucy Score

Lucy Score is one of the queens of small town romance. This is a grumpy sunshine small town story set around the Winter Solstice!

Christmas in the Scottish Highlands by Donna Ashcroft

Doesn’t this just look and sound cozy? Perfect for any readers not looking for anything wildly steamy.

The Christmas Fix by Lucy Score

But if you do want steam…

Jingle Wars by R. Holmes and Veronica Eden

This is an enemies to lovers rom com with a fabulous snowed in scene. I really enjoyed it! The pacing is a little off but it’s still festive and spicy.

Leave any other KU recommendations in the comments! I’m always looking for more!
